Celebrating 150,000 “Maricopa Babies”

Maricopa Health Integrated System celebrated a rich history in labor and delivery during a May 11 reception honoring some of the nearly 150,000 babies born at Maricopa Medical Center during the past 40 years. The adult “Maricopa Babies” represent a range of diverse ethnicities, cultures and careers.

The hospital, which delivers about 2,500 babies each year, expects to meet the milestone record later this year.

MIHS recently launched a celebratory “I’m a Maricopa Baby” billboard campaign featuring 11 men and women, ranging from age 22 to 47. The campaign continues on billboards and bus cards throughout the month of May.
