Make several of these cute little boats and have your very own regatta in the pool!
What you will need:
A plastic lid (like the ones from margarine or sour cream containers)
A drinking straw
Construction paper
Scissors
A single-hole punch
Crayons, markers and/or stickers
A small piece of play dough
Cut a triangle from a piece of construction paper — this will be the sail. Decorate it with the crayons, markers or stickers.
Punch three holes along the straight side ot the triangle. Weave the drinking straw through the holes to make a mast for your sail.
Place a small amount of play dough in the middle of the inside of the lid (if you use too much, your boat will sink). Push the end of the straw into the clay. Viola! You now have a sailboat.
