Chandler Center for the Arts is accepting applications through Sept. 7 for this season’s CCA Youth Advisory Council program, which promotes arts appreciation, community service and leadership skills for teens from Chandler and surrounding cities.

Up to 15 teens will be selected to participate in the free program, which runs from September through March. Youth advisory council members attend a series of three-hour sessions focused on performing arts center leadership.

The program is designed to develop arts advocates and well-rounded community leaders. Participating teens receive free training in arts-related career opportunities, financial responsibility, leadership skills, group dynamics, public relations and marketing.

Interested youth ages 13 to 18 must complete an application and return it with two letters of recommendation no later than Sept. 7. Interviews will be conducted before council members are selected. Learn more at chandlercenter.org.
