Halloween candy: dentists prefer chocolate

This is the best news ever.

In survey results presented by Delta Dental, 79 percent of dentists that hand out Halloween candy prefer chocolate over other candies.

The reason? The sugar in chocolate is less likely to stick to teeth.

For those of us who think that eating candy is a waste of time, and calories, UNLESS it is made of chocolate…well, this just made my day. I was the kid who traded away anything in my Halloween bag that wasn’t made of chocolate. Not worth it!

The company offers other tips on dental health in the midst of the holiday where Americans spend a whopping two BILLION dollars on candy. Tips include providing a good dinner before trick or treating, and brushing teeth extra carefully before bedtime on Halloween.

And, yes, I agree with the Delta Dental vampire (they have their own vampire!) in the video below. Make mine DARK chocolate. Happy Halloween!

Muahhhhhaaaaaaa!!!!!
