This festive noisemaker will keep kids busy while the Thanksgiving feast is being prepared.
Use brown watercolor paint to cover the backsides of two small paper plates and let dry. Cut a bunch of colorful hand “feathers,” tracing both adult and child hands. With one plate, brown-side down, glue feathers along the topside to create a turkey’s tail.
Place a quarter-cup of popcorn kernels in the center of that plate. Run a line of glue around the rim of the other plate and affix the two plates together with brown sides out. Secure with staples if desired. Cut and glue on a turkey face from colored paper or download and print the free template at PagingSupermom.com.
