Monty Python’s Spamalot. Desert Stages Theater in Scottsdale presents this musical lovingly taken right from the film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.”

JAN. 21-MARCH 11

The Snowy Day and Other Stories. Childsplay’s musical is about the joys and challenges of growing up and the magic and boundless possibilities of the first snowfall. Based on the book by Ezra Jack Keats. Performed at Tempe Center for the Arts.

JAN. 24-28

Little Dino’s Baby Tooth. Great Arizona Puppet Theater performs this story about a young dinosaur who is scared to lose his very first tooth.

JAN. 26-FEB. 4

Legally Blonde The Musical. Elle Woods tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Starlight Community Theater in Phoenix.

JAN. 27

Melanie Friends and Family – An Evening of Songs and Stories. Known for her voice in the Woodstock era, Melanie is back, sharing the stories of her scattered career with a new generation. Performance is at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix.

JAN. 27 and Feb. 3

Charlotte’s Web. Arizona Broadway Theatre presents the enduring story of friendship between a determined spider and a livestock pig.

JAN. 28

Young Musicians Winter Concert. Listen to the stars of tomorrow, today! This concert features some of the best young classical talent in Arizona. 2 p.m. at the Musical Instrument Museum in  Phoenix.

FEB. 7-25

Hotel Saguaro. Great Arizona Puppet Theater introduces families to Sammy Saguaro, his wise Grandpa and all their desert-dwelling friends.

FEB 9-18

The Wedding Singer: A Musical Comedy. Greasepaint Youth Theater follows the love story behind New Jersey’s No. 1 wedding singer and a waitress who are both engaged to be married to the wrong people.

Valley Youth Theater, Phoenix, The Hobbit

Valley Youth Theater presents “The Hobbit” Feb. 9-25.

FEB. 9-25

The Hobbit. Valley Youth Theatre presents the this play based on the classic by J.R.R. Tolkien. It’s the story of a conservative hobbit who is asked to leave the comforts of his home to uncover an important treasure.

FEB. 15

Voices of Valor. The Phoenix Boys Choir offers a selection of patriotic and popular songs to this free concert at Steele Indian School Park Memorial Hall.

FEB. 15-18

Cinderella. Ballet Arizona and the Phoenix Symphony bring Ib Andersen’s vision of this romantic story to life, sprinkled with a magical dose of humor.

FEB. 15-25

Beauty and the Computer Geek. East Valley Children’s Theater presents an award-winning original play based on the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty, but with a high-tech twist.


Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Kids. This Fountain Hills Theater performance features fairies Flora, Fauna and Merryweather in their effort to protect Princess Aurora from the spell of evil sorceress Maleficent.

Rising Stars Spring Showcase. The youngest members of the Phoenix Boys Choir perform, building confidence and stage presence.

FEB 22-25

Once on this Island Jr. The nonstop song-and-dance musical about a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with a wealthy boy from the other side of the island.


13 the Musical. Desert Stages Theatre presents the story of a young preteen New Yorker who is plucked from his fast-paced city life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town.

Metropolitan Youth Symphony’s 36th Season Winter Concert is an evening of great music and talented young musicians.
