Description
The Heard Museum will reopen to the general public with new hours, new policies and new safety procedures.
Attendance will be limited to 100 per hour, with a maximum capacity of 240 visitors. Face coverings and social distancing are required for staff and visitors for all indoor spaces. Disposable masks and gloves will be available upon request and free of charge.
Family-friendly exhibits: "It's Your Turn Yosemite" immerses visitors in the landscape of the Yosemite Valley through a series of hands-on activities for children and families: basket weaving, iPad drawing and color postcards to be sent to friends and family.
"Grand Procession: Contemporary Plains Indian Dolls from the Charles and Valerie Diker Collection" provides a figurative reference to Indigenous peoples from the Great Plains and Great Basin regions who lived in those areas during the late 19th century. The 23 dolls represent the largest private collection of its kind.
Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. The Courtyard Cafe remains closed.
Tickets: $15, $12 seniors, $9 ages 6-17 and college students with ID, free for children ages 5 and younger. Save up to $3 for each online ticket purchase online at heard.org
