VIRTUAL – Sheltering in Place with Young Children
Wednesday, April 15, 10:00 am - 10:45 am
We are currently experiencing technical challenges with the dates/times on our calendar. This event begins at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 15.
Sheltering in Place with Young Children is a virtual event for parents featuring behavioral/developmental pediatrician Karen M. Hopkins, MD, a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. Preschool-age children don’t necessarily understand why we all need to stay in our homes for an extended period of time. Hopkins will discuss how to help our youngest kids cope with the many quarantine uncertainties. She also will cover challenging behaviors and strategies to help children cope with changes in their routine.
This special COVID-19 webinar edition is part of the Conversations with Common Sense series, featuring tips and advice on keeping kids engaged, entertained, and learning while at home, as well as best practices for managing stress and self-care for the whole family during this time of social distancing.
