    “Pompeii: The Exhibition” (Nov. 18-May 28) at Arizona Science Center.

    Congratulations to Lakeisha Davis, who won four tickets to “Pompeii: The Exhibition” at the Arizona Science Center. The exhibition is on display through May 24.

    Pompeii was frozen in time for more than 1,700 years, preserved by the ash from Mount Vesuvius that destroyed it on Aug. 24, 79 A.D. The exhibit includes 200 artifacts from the Naples National Archaeological Museum in Italy, including wall-sized frescoes, mosaics, sculptures, jewelry, statues and Roman coins that bring to life how Pompeii’s people lived, loved, worked, worshipped and celebrated.

    Parental guidance is advised for a subtle separate section (a replica of a Pompeii brothel) that is not suitable for all ages. Admission to Pompeii (including general museum admission)  is $29.95; $22.95 for ages 3-17; $7.95-$9.95 for museum members; free for ages 2 and younger. Arizona Science Center, 600 E.   • Win four annual passes to Sea Life Arizona Aquarium in Tempe

    Congratulations to Iveth Padilla Coronado, who won four annual passes to SEA LIFE Arizona at Arizona Mills. Now through Dec. 31, an annual Sea Life Arizona pass is $35 (save $10), a Legoland Discovery Center Arizona annual pass is $55 (save $10) and a combo pass for both is $75 (save $15).

    Sea Life, a 26,000-square-foot aquarium located inside the Tempe mall, was built for kids, with viewing bubbles at children’s eye level.     Congratulations to Kathy Fox, who won a family four-pack of tickets to Childsplay’s production of “Tomás and the Library Lady,” playing weekends Oct. 21-Nov. 12 at Tempe Center for the Arts. The play is recommended for ages 5 and up.

    While his family is in Iowa picking crops, Tomás meets the Library Lady, and nothing is ever the same again. Soon his imagination takes off as he reads book after book, discovering a world filled with dinosaurs, tigers and explorers! Based on the true story of Tomás Rivera (who became the first minority chancellor in the University of California system), Childsplay brings back this favorite play with music celebrating reading, imagination and creativity.
