Description
History of the Soldier (April 4-5). History enthusiasts of all ages will experience a timeline of military history, from the American Revolution to present day. Re-enactors will dress in a large variety of period-correct uniforms to give visitors a feel of the past, as well as displaying weapons of their selected era. Fort Verde will conduct flag ceremonies and live demonstrations, including cannon firing. "Hold the Fort" will sponsor a Dutch oven cooking demonstration, and provide food for the event. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. $7; $4 for ages 7-14; free for ages 6 and younger.
