Mesa Public Library is hosting a Not So Polar Express beginning at 2 p.m. at Red Mountain Branch, 635 N. Power Road and Dobson Ranch Branch, 2425 S. Dobson Road; and at 3 p.m. at Mesa Main Library, 64 E. First St. Your vehicle is part of the fun, so feel free to get into the holiday spirit and decorate it!

Each library branch’s parking lot will have several drive-in stops with special treats. Each car will get a copy of "The Polar Express," by Chris Van Allsburg, courtesy of Kids Need to Read, a nonprofit foundation that promotes childhood literacy and addresses the crisis in library funding. All treats and books are available only while supplies last.

Please stay in your vehicle and follow directional signs. For the Dobson Ranch location, please enter the parking lot at the south entrance (near the fire station), drive toward the park and exit the parking lot by taking a right at the light.
