Description

Get a small glimpse of the Cretaceous period when Victoria, the largest Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton touring the world, comes to Arizona Science Center. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas). $9.95-$11.95; free for ages 2 and younger; general admission ($13-$19.95) is also required. Arizona Science Center, 600 E. Washington St., Phoenix. azscience.org

Initially unearthed in 2013 outside Faith, South Dakota, Victoria has undergone years of research and restoration and is considered the second most complete T. rex skeleton on record. The exhibition will be open to visitors of all ages. It explores unusual battle scars that may have led to Victoria’s death as well as her role as a mother. The exhibition uses animation and immersive digital environments with the latest paleontological findings to create an educational, emotional experience.
