Description

Raffi, once called “the most popular children’s singer in the English-speaking world” (Washington Post), is performing at Mesa Arts Center as part of his #BelugaGrads national tour.

Raffi is best known for his work as a children’s entertainer and advocate. A string of gold and platinum-selling recordings includes his iconic song, “Baby Beluga,” about a baby whale. The song included authentic whale sounds and was both a popular charmer and a driver of the movement to raise kids who respect and value the Earth and its natural resources.

In 2010, the Canadian performer founded the non-profit Centre for Child Honouring. With the motto “Respecting Earth & Child,” the Centre is at the heart of a global movement that views honoring children as the best way to create sustainable, peacemaking societies. In 2019, the Centre will be renamed the Raffi Foundation for Child Honouring.

Raffi's performance begins at 1 p.m. Tickets are $35-$81.50. Every pair of tickets includes the choice of a digital download or CD of Raffi’s albums "Dog on the Floor" or "The Best of Raffi." Mesa Arts Center, 1 E. Main St., Mesa. 480-644-6500 or mesacenter.com
