PHOENIX – Snow Week at Arizona Science Center
Location
Arizona Science Center
600 E. Washington St.
Phoenix, AZ 85004
Description
Snow Week will look at bit different at the Arizona Science Center this year. There won't be a big hill of snow as in years past, but families will be able to explore the science of snow and ice during self-guided tours of the Center. Enter the SnowPal Construction Zone, see dazzling demonstrations hourly, or watch a liquid nitrogen cloud outside on the front lawn. Ice-themed shows will be featured in the Dorrance Planetarium and Irene P. Flinn Giant Screen Theater.
This event also coincides with the last week of the exhibit "Victoria The T. rex" with its glimpse of the Cretaceous period and the largest Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton touring the world. 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last entry at 2:45 p.m.)
Snow Week activities are free with admission: $19.95, $1.95 for ages 3-17, free for children 2 and younger. Separate charges for theater films, planetarium shows and Victoria T. rex. 600 E. Washington St., Phoenix. Capacity will be limited; advance ticket purchase is recommended. 602-716-2000 or azscience.org
