Have a formal dress that’s taking up space in the back of your closet? It could make a teenage girl’s prom dreams come true.
Beginning Feb. 1, the East Valley Women’s League will collect new and gently used dresses for The Cinderella Affair, an annual event that allows Arizona high school juniors and seniors to select free prom dresses and accessories. “Shopping” takes place in March and April.
Larger-sized dresses (sizes 12-24) are in particular demand. Shoes (especially sizes 10-plus), evening bags and costume jewelry are also accepted.
Donations can be dropped off at The Cinderella Affair Boutique, 411 N. McKemy Ave. in Chandler and at donation boxes at some high schools and local businesses around the Valley. cinderellaaffair.org.
