Seasons of change

After enjoying a performance by the Metropolitan Men's Chorus, which included songs from Tony Award-winning musicals, Lynn Trimble enjoys the QSpeak/Tumbleweed collaboration that resulted in the June 3, 2011 benefit performance of At the End of the Day in Scottsdale.

Tony Award winners heading to Scottsdale

After enjoying this season's performance by Betty Buckley, with Seth Rudetsky, at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Lynn Trimble looks ahead to their 2011-12 season -- which includes several Tony Award winning performers. Trimble loses her longtime Broadway buddy this year as daughter Lizabeth, who graduated Thursday night from Arizona School for the Arts in Phoenix, heads to NYC to pursue a B.F.A. in acting. Still, Lynn is eager to enjoy the incredible Broadway fare coming to the Valley this season.

In good company

Stephen Colbert. Patty LuPone. Neil Patrick Harris. Head to select Valley theaters Wed, June 15 and you'll be in good company. Stage Mom Lynn Trimble explains why as her 2011 "Countdown to the Tony Awards" series continues.

Kirk's Studio rocks Mesa Arts Center!

It's only fair. With all the time Lynn Trimble devotes to the arts, Saturday night is James' turn to pick an outing (Go D'backs!). Though she can't attend the Kirk's Studio 2011 Showcase on June 4 at the Mesa Arts Center, Trimble offers a preview for other folks looking for a fun and affordable outing of the arts rather than athetic variety.

From JFK to Father's Day

In honor of JFK's May 29 birthday, Lynn Trimble explores Kennedy family contributions in several areas, including the arts -- then shares an opportunity for local writers to explore their own father's life or legacy.

Ode to season tickets

Though she's giving up her season tickets as a show of "fair and balanced" reporting on the arts, Stage Mom Lynn Trimble still harbors a not-so-secret love for the tickets that have made her life easier, and richer, through the years.

Theater camp can change a life

Lynn Trimble talks with an ASU student who hopes to "travel the world and dance across it" about her early arts experiences, her dreams for the future and the role a Valley theater camp played in sparking her true passion. Trimble also shares a companion post with links to more than 30 Valley organizations offering theater camps.

Conversations with Cosette

Lynn Trimble shares conversations with two young actresses performing in the June 7-12 production of "Les Miserables" at ASU Gammage in Tempe -- but warns that tickets are going fast.

Worlds apart?

Lynn Trimble explores the Theater Works and One Step Beyond collaboration that's resulted in a "Showcase of the Arts" coming to Peoria Center for the Arts June 6 and 7. It's a fun night of visual and performing arts that benefits dance, theater and art programs for people with cognitive disabilities.

Art meets autism

Lynn Trimble and her son Christopher recently got a sneak peek at "The Other King and I" -- which is being performed this Thursday night at Alhambra High School by students from Hi-Star Center for Children in Glendale.

Of treadmills and thumb pianos

Lynn Trimble previews summer programs for children and teens at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, sharing a few of her strategies for looking young enough to sneak into classes featuring her favorite instruments.
