Join us at our exciting and creative Summer Art Masterpiece Program designed especially for youth ages 12 and up! Over the course of one week, young artists will explore various art styles, techniques, and mediums inspired by renowned artists from around the world. Each day, participants will engage in hands-on activities, learn about different artistic movements, and create their own masterpieces. These activities will take place in our makerspace, The Walter Dome, which is equipped with fabrication tools, tech components, and a huge array of fine arts materials.

To celebrate the children's hard work and creativity, a Gallery Show will be held on Friday evening, August 2nd, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, next door to our makerspace in the Walter Hive Community Gallery. Family and friends are invited to view the artworks and support the young artists in this welcoming space where contemporary and local art is celebrated.

Dates, Times, and Projects:
- Monday, July 29th, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Geometric Art - Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky and Op Art
- Tuesday, July 30th, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Japanese Art - Traditional Sumi-e Inkbrush Painting and Modern Yayoi Kusama
- Wednesday, July 31st, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Weaving - Basic yarn weaving, multimedia textile weaving, collaged paper/tape weaving
- Thursday, August 1st, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Sculpture - Recycled Cardboard Sculpture and Alberto Giacometti Wire Armature
- Friday, August 2nd, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Street Art - Inspired by Basquiat and Banksy
- Friday, August 2nd, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Gallery Show at the Walter Hive Community Gallery
(12.5 hrs of in depth workshops + 2 hrs gallery exhibition for friends and family of participants)
