Description
Connect2Stem is a free, annual event meant to inspire kids in grades K-12 to think about careers in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine. This year, the event has been reimagined as an online interactive pavilion. Activities will start with today's kickoff at 10 a.m. via Connect2STEM TV.
The University of Arizona College of Medicine–Phoenix, along with partners Cox Communications and the Arizona SciTech Institute, will present a series of live, virtual and family friendly events, including:
- A behind-the-scenes tours of the Wildcat Play Hospital
- An Escape the Room challenge with mannequins that can talk, led by medical students
- Energetic performances from the Be Kind Crew and Arizona School for the Arts
Connect2STEM TV will officially launch February 6, offering family friendly programs every Saturday that month. Each week will feature new themes and giveaways.
Connect@STEM is typically a huge community outreach event with more than 40,000 attendees over the last six years.
