Independence Day is all about food, fun and freedom in this mountain town. So much fun, you’ll need a three-day weekend (or more) to pack it all in. Flagstaff 4th of July Weekend is an all-American, stars and stripes celebration filled with excitement—all in the cool pines.
July 4:
- 4th of July Flagstaff Downtown Mile. 7 race for you to choose from! This event is bringing you a fast mile race, a costume contest, kids run, and a chance to meet and see the best professional runners in Flagstaff. It's a running parade in the streets before the official parade sweeps the streets!
- Chamber 4th of July Parade. The 2024 Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce Independence Day Parade will follow the usual route around Historic Downtown Flagstaff. Starting at Elm & Beaver, it will go south down Beaver, turn left on Aspen to San Francisco and north on San Francisco back to Elm. 9am to 11am. Attendance is free!
- A Flag Fourth. The FSO is back on July 4 for our annual Flag Fourth concert! This family-friendly patriotic pops concert is perfect for all ages, free of charge, and open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and sunscreen and join us for the perfect Flagstaff Independence Day celebration with live music. Free to attend. 3 to 5pm, doors at 2pm at the Pepsi Amphitheater.
July 4 – 5:
- Downtown Street Faire. Explore Street Faire entertainment in Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff over 4th of July. Featuring a photo booth, balloon artists, face painters, live music and more! Activities are free. Thursday, July 4, 1:30 pm to 8 pm and Friday, July 5, 10 am to 8 pm.
July 5:
- First Friday Art Walk. It’s Flagstaff’s monthly street party and your walking shoes are a necessity. First Friday ArtWalk is one of Northern Arizona’s premier arts events. Held on the first Friday of the month, art galleries and businesses in historic Downtown Flagstaff open their doors from 5-9pm with special art exhibitions, performances, live music, treats, and more. Many downtown hot spots remain open after 9 pm as the ArtWalk celebrations continue.
July 5 – 7:
- Art in the Park. Free to the public. Flagstaff Art in the Park is a locally owned and operated arts and crafts festival featuring juried fine art and crafts designed and shown by the artists. These shows take place over the Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends at Wheeler Park in Downtown Flagstaff; a beautiful tree shaded, grassy venue. In addition to 80 + artists from across the Southwest, these shows feature nonstop live music, a variety of food trucks, a beer garden with local and regional brews, and family friendly kids activities. Please join us for another amazing season of art, music and community in the heart of Northern Arizona's cool pines! Friday & Saturday 9am-6pm, Sunday 9am-4pm. Wheeler Park in Downtown Flagstaff.
July 6:
- Movies on the Square. This 4th of July weekend, enjoy live music and activities starting at 4pm, followed by Shrek at dusk. Movies on the Square is a FREE family-friendly evening on Heritage Square – Flagstaff’s downtown living room. Make sure to bring blankets and sleeping bags (it can get a little chilly at night.)
