Covenant Home School Resource Center Hosts “Kids’ Brains & Screens” Seminar to Help Families Navigate the Digital Age

In an age where screens are everywhere, concerned parents are asking: How much is too much? Covenant Home School Resource Center (CHSRC) is proud to present Kids’ Brains & Screens, an eye-opening and practical presentation designed to equip parents with the tools and understanding they need to raise healthy, focused kids in a digital world.

This special event will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sovereign Grace Bible Church campus in Phoenix. Donations are gratefully accepted in lieu of a set admission fee. Please note: this event is for adults only. No children under 18 due to the sensitive nature of the content. Advance registration is required.

Led by trained speakers from ScreenStrong, a national movement that empowers families to rethink screen use in childhood, the presentation will explore:

• The science behind screen exposure and the developing brain

• The social and emotional impact of excessive screen time

• Practical strategies to help parents reclaim family time and restore childhood

Following the presentation, guests are invited to browse the CHSRC Bookstore, which will be open from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM for extended Saturday shopping, offering homeschool curriculum, parenting resources, and friendly support for new and seasoned homeschoolers alike.

CHSRC Executive Director Janet Forte shares, “This event isn’t about guilt, it’s about hope. We want to empower parents with knowledge, support, and encouragement as they make choices that align with their family values.”
