For the first time since 2019, the Phoenix Zoo is bringing back the wildly popular “Winter in July” — transforming the desert into a cool, snowy playground. Guests can beat the Arizona heat with nearly 50 tons of snow, including a dedicated toddler snow pile and a larger play area for older kids. Families can also cool off at two splash pad destinations, Leapin’ Lagoon and Yakulla Caverns, making this a one-of-a-kind summer experience in the Valley.
Adding to the excitement, the Zoo is offering a special Beat the Heat for only$25 general admission ticket for everyone — making it the perfect affordable summer outing. The morning wraps up with a memorable moment as Chutti, the Zoo’s greater one-horned rhino, receives a refreshing shower!
