Description
Kid's Wonder Club is a live-streamed family program presented by Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff. This week, learn from Flagstaff's Lowell Observatory about some of the terrestrial objects in our solar system: the volcanoes of Venus, the polar ice caps and craters of Mars, and Pluto's icy terrain. Just watch, or follow along and do the experiments together at home. 6:30 p.m. Free. Register here
What you'll need:
- Venus volcanoes: Clay, small plastic cups, vinegar, baking soda
- Polar ice caps: Dry ice, graduated cylinder or tall narrow glass vase, universal indicator: phenolphthalein or litmus paper (both available on Amazon)
- Craters: Deep pan, flour to fill the pan, cocoa powder, different size rocks
