Position at RAK: Sales Representative
Work/academic background: Graduated from Arizona State University. Worked as communications and sales director for a tourism magazine and marketing director for the Challenger Space Center.
Time in Arizona: I was born in Germany but have lived in Arizona for 10 years.
Significant other, kids, pets: I have a wonderful boyfriend, a 3½ year old son named Jackson and his two guinea pigs, Max and Sam.
Favorite food: Sushi
Favorite thing to do when I have some time to myself: Work on photographs I’ve taken and spend lots of time on Pinterest looking for new DIY projects to try.
Most people don’t know this about me: I’m crafty! I hand make all sorts of baby gifts for friends and family and love creating something I know is unique. I also have a photography business on the weekends.
What I love most about Arizona: The beautiful scenery from one end of the state to the other. Whether you’re looking for a rustic cowboy experience, green grass and lakes or snow, Arizona has it!
How I came to RAK: I’ve been reading RAK since my son was born in January 2013. When I wanted to shift careers again and spend more time with my family, I reached out to the publisher and we set up a meeting.
What I love most about my job: All the different business owners I have the pleasure of meeting. I love working with my clients and most of my clients I feel comfortable promoting to friends and readers because I have personally used their products or attended their events with my son.
Favorite Valley hangout/hot spot: When my son is home with me we spend lots of time at Playgrounds Café in Peoria—and if it’s just us adults we love being in Old Town Scottsdale.
Last book(s) you read, movie(s) you liked, TV show(s) you binge-watched: Book (and TV): “Outlander.” And I most recent binge-watched “How I Met Your Mother.”
