Here’s a super-simple Halloween activity that’s perfect for toddlers—and won’t cause cavities: a candy-corn craft made with construction paper. It’s also great practice for sorting, counting and working on fine motor skills.

What you’ll need

  • black, white, orange and yellow construction paper
  • white, orange and yellow crayons
  • glue
  • scissors

  • Draw the candy corn shape on the black piece of construction paper.
  • Divide the corn into three sections for each individual color.
  • Label each section by coloring a square or gluing a square in each section.
  • Cut small squares of each candy-corn color (white, yellow, orange).
  • Glue the squares in each section to fill in the candy shape.
