Get your green wardrobe ready and enjoy a Shamrock Fest, a fun run or a music festival this weekend. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!


Pot of Gold Music Festival (Fri-Sat Mar 16-17). This is a two-day, all ages show (13 years and older), featuring more than a dozen bands, including Flogging Molly, Less than Jake and Death Cab For Cutie. noon to midnight. $69 each day or $130 2-day pass. Shamrock Fest (Fri-Sat Mar 17-18). This festival features the best of Arizona’s local bands. Live entertainment also includes Irish dancers, bagpipes, games, traditional Irish food and a beer garden. 4pm-midnight. Dr. AJ Chandler Park, 178 E. Commonwealth, Chandler.


Kiss Me I’m Irish Run (Sat Mar 18). This event offers a half marathon, 8K, 4K and an Irish K for kiddos and families. Be sure to wear your St. Patty’s green and enjoy live music and other festivities. 7am. Registration fees vary. Westgate Entertainment District, 6751 N. Sunset Blvd, Glendale.


St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Family Faire (Sat Mar 11). The theme for this year’s 34th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire is “Salute to Irish Music and Dance.” The parade begins at 10am in downtown Phoenix (Third Street from Virginia Avenue to McDowell Road) and includes marching bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers, floats and more. The Faire follows at Margaret T. Hance Park with three stages of performers, food and craft vendors and merchandise. 602-280-9221 or

A Celtic Journey (Sun Mar 5). The Sonoran Desert Chorale presents Irish-American composer Ben Allaway’s “Heaven and Earth: Mass on the Celtic Journey.” The evening combines folk music of the British Isles with traditional music of the Anglican church. 3pm. $15-$18. St. Patrick’s Day Teen Night Party (Fri Mar 17). Ages 12 and up. Tweens and teens are invited to jump and play on St. Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival (Sat Mar 11). Join the city, NAU Parks and Recreation and Sedona Green Team as they present this 47th annual event. Festival follows the parade with live entertainment and family fun. Parade begins at 10:30am along Jordan Road. Free. 735 Jordan Rd, Sedona.


Green Isle Mile and Running With the Irish 5K (Sat Mar 11). Run with the Irish in Tucson. Top 100 finishers receive a commemorative mug. Run benefits the Kick Cancer for Stephen Foundation. St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival of Tucson (Sat Mar 17). Families can enjoy live Irish music, dancers and entertainment at the 30th annual event. Festival is 10am-5pm; the parade begins at 11am. Armory Park, 220 S. 5th Ave, Tucson.
